Development Process:

Her Room is a text-based storytelling game experience about a cyber-romance story based on San Junipero. It simulates the process of two protagonists falling in love with each other from virtual world to real life in the transmedia narrative method. The scene over here only contains the first scene of the 3D space.  The project is currently still under develop. 

Successes:

All the colliders work well;

The triggerable Ui and the collecting system work well; 

The rich-based text and the immersive storytelling environment

Failures:

Failed to connect the Bitsy scene in Unity;

Some shader graph didn't show in this version of Unity;

No playability

Lessons Learned:

First, this project provides me a chance to get familiar with how to design a whole game by myself.  From the story inspiration to the final visual presentation, I did every step of it. It was quite a suffering process but also very educational. 

During the research,  I got to know a lot of good games using dimension as an element. At the same time, I have a deeper understanding towards different game genres.

Finally of course my Unity skill improves. There are many small detailed errors that I never notice before, such as the convex in Mesh Collider, the file size of the texture could be larger than some assets, how to choose Unity version depends on the visual need and so on. 

Future Development:

get a more powerful pc to make the whole scene more detailed, right now it has so many delays in the edit mode;

more attempts on the multi-dimensional scenes, since I couldn't input the game data of the Bitsy into the game, I need to find other solutions for the first two scenes;
