A downloadable game for Windows

Her Room

Her Room is a text-based storytelling game experience about a cyber-romance story based on an episode of the TV series Black Mirror called San Junipero.

It simulates the process of two protagonists named Yorkie and Kelly who fall in love from the virtual world to real life through a series of transmedia narrative methods.

The player, in the role of Yorkie, explores a virtual town called Bradford where the elderly can visit and the deceased can live. The story happens in a world where technology allows people to upload their consciousness to the cloud and live in their younger bodies.

There are three game scenes which are presented in different dimensions in this game world, from text to image to 3D world.

*Currently the project is still under developed. The downloadable files here only contains the first 3D walking simulator here. It allows you to collect the information about Kelly and fill the loading bar!

I really love the style of both combing 2d tilemap games and 3d settings.Especially the typewritter effects of the message box. It's kind of cool to explore the room. Very nice ui design. The storyline is also well designed. Nice job!

Agree with our fellows. The whole aesthetic is incredible including this website page. I have been thinking what if you want to make a series of this game based on the black mirror story and it's gonna be really cool. The narrative video has given the audience a great first impression.

Agree with @helimoon that the visual looks really trendy and unique. I totally get that the pixel font is a part of the design, but I'd also have concerns with the eligibility - maybe you can look for other pixel fonts that are easier to read?

Hi Irene, good work with your final!! I felt like your game had the most impressive visual, and the story is also really interesting. I remember from the play-testing earlier that you talked about doing 1d, 2d, and 3d, for different stages of the game as it progresses, and I'd love to see that in the final game. I see that you say it's still developing, so I'm excited to check it out later when its complete :)
